At the last Hamlet Wood meeting of 2023 on the 14th of December, members brought food for the Christmas lunch. A small amount of woodcarving was undertaken and a good time was had by all. We wish you a happy and healthy New Year to you and yours and hope to see you in 2024.

Demonstrating at the Weald of Kent Country Craft Show
We enjoyed demonstrating our skills at the first show of the year at Penshurst over the early May Bank Holiday. Saturday was the busiest day with considerable interest shown. Sunday was Ladies’ Day, Dennis being the sole male representative.

Six members of Kent Woodcarvers spent a day at The Bearded Pig Forge in Quex Park, Birchington. Blacksmith Spike Martin demonstrated the processes involved in forging, hardening, tempering and grinding a knife blade.
