A certain retired naval gentleman suggested that instead of me keeping on asking for contributions to the Newsletter, I should include this object, which can be seen in the picture. In other words it is a carver’s apron!

All I have done is put Velcro tape on the hem and the edge of my carving tray, thus reducing the amount of chips that my wife finds around the house—even in the bed!

He then has the cheek to send me an advert flyer for a bed tray for the infirm, that he hopes will be more successful in keeping wood chips out of the bed!

Ignore him.
