“It was great to receive news from the Club. … When the club last met, I was inspired by several members, to make a commemorative spoon for an expected grandchild. I was advised that lime wood lends itself to such work and bought a piece from the club, then set about planning the design. … The spoon has been treated with olive oil. I would have like to use walnut oil but for half a teaspoonful, it was mega expensive. Phil advised me on the phone that olive oil would be ok and safe, in case the babe put it in his mouth. … I’ve not actually given the spoon to the parents for the grandchild yet as we’ve not seen them for a while but soon will.
