The Sprouler!

As promised, here are two pictures of the Sprouler, as created by Pat Sproule. (Sorry, Pat, I misplaced your letter, so what follows is my memory of what you wrote!)

Basically, the device is cut from some scrap metal profile that Pat had, and is designed to apply abrasive paper to wood surfaces difficult to reach without it. Abrasive paper is stuck to the ‘bent ends’ with double-sided adhesive pads and has proved to be very
effective.

David Cooper coined the term ‘Sprouler’ when he was sprawling in his deck-chair and ‘sprouling’ a workpiece with Pat’s device that he had borrowed!
